The Students’ Council
The school
operates a Student Representative Council which aims
to develop the school community so that students can
become co-partners with teachers in their education.
An elected body of 23 pupils meet on a regular basis
with senior staff members and can use this
opportunity to bring forward new initiatives and
issues of concerns on behalf of their peers. The
Council also introduces students to democratic,
responsible and mature ways of making their views
heard.

Many issues
addressed, to name but a few, are the new revised
Anti-bullying policy making it pupil friendly,
Health Promotion in school, library survey, cash for
clobber, school challenges project, name the canteen
and new meal deals and amendments to School uniform
and new PE kits.

The highlight of
the busy year is a fun team building day, a reward
for the important role and commitment of each
member.
