Mrs Stewart wins Northern Ireland Teacher of The
Year
 
Mrs
Pearl Stewart confirmed what we all knew ... yes
she's a great teacher, in fact so good they have
presented her with the prestigious award of Northern
Ireland Teacher of The Year 2011.
She
was presented with her award on Monday 6th June at a
special school assembly, and now goes forward to the
UK Final in London for UK Teacher of The Year. A
delighted Mrs Stewart paid tribute to all the staff
and pupils of the school and especially to Lyndsey
Hemphill who nominated her for the award,
Good luck in the UK Final Mrs Stewart ... we know
you can do it!!!!

OUR PRIMARY SCHOOL'S GOT TALENT ... SIR!!

“Our Primary School's Got Talent … sir!!! is our first
show of this school year and will feature pupils
from all local primary schools school singing, dancing,
… just about everything you could think of! The
show is on Monday 13th January at 7.30 pm with doors opening at 7pm.
We
want this show to be more than just a singing
contest as there is a great deal of talent
within our local primary schools' that a “Stars in your Eyes”
show just cannot reach, so come and see what
should be a jam packed show full of variety and
surprises!
Tickets are on sale from the school office
from Monday 30th January priced at £2 for children and OAP’s, £4 for
adults and £10 for a family of 4 (2
concessionary tickets / 2 full price tickets)Seats are sold on a first come first served
basis so in order to get a good vantage point be
sure and
buy your
ticket early.
OBE
Honour for Mr Williamson.
Mr Williamson has served as our
School's principal for 11 years, and was awarded the
OBE for Services to Education in the 2010 Queen's
Birthday Honours List.

A
very proud moment for the school and Mr Williamson
as he receives his OBE from Her Majesty the Queen
for his services to Education In N. Ireland. He was
accompanied by his wife Shirley and daughter Amy to
Buckingham Palace for the big day.
