A wide cross section of after school activities is offered in Castlederg High School through our Extended Schools and PEACE III programmes.

In sport we offer Junior and Senior Soccer, Hockey, Rugby and Netball as well as Cricket, Athletics and Girls Football in the summer term. Over 200 pupils take part in these activities weekly

In music our pupils have the opportunity to enter London College of Music examinations while we also have a very popular arts and crafts club. A Fun with Food club is also organised where pupils get the opportunity to improve their culinary skills using healthy ingredients.

Literacy and Numeracy clubs are organised for those pupils who require additional assistance with their English and Maths. In these classes, the pupils work through puzzles and problem solving activities as well as using reading recovery techniques and strategies.

Most departments in the school also offer GCSE and A level revision Booster sessions in the weeks before their examinations. They provide valuable assistance to the pupils at a time when structured revision is crucial.

Other after school activities includes the very successful equestrian team, scripture union, chess club, ICT club and a First Aid Class.
